My interaction with clay continues to be inspired by various found /observed forms in the natural world and explores my fascination with organic geometry and a love of colour.
I use Stoneware / porcelain clays, depending on the dimensions of the piece, incorporating throwing and hand building techniques to create individual sculptural vessel forms. The surfaces are hand painted with layers of under glazes and geometric patterns that become an integral part of the form.
There is a physical rhythm to the rituals and processes of making and decorating that feeds something in my creative soul.
