Elif Aydoğdu Ağatekin was born in Ankara in 1977. She graduated from Anadolu University Fine Arts Faculty Department of Ceramics in 2000. After completing her M.A degree in 2002 at Anadolu University Social Sciences Institute Department of Ceramics she completed her Proficiency in Art Program in 2012 at Fine Arts Faculty Department of Ceramics with her dissertation titled Use of Waste Ceramics in the Art of Ceramics
