We hope you are well and have had a good year despite the ongoing challenges.
As Directors of the International Ceramics Festival we have made the difficult decision again to postpone the traditional festival, this time with the aim of holding the next event on June 30th to July 2nd 2023.
For various reasons we believe it will be better for us to return to holding this biennial on odd numbered years, with 2023 being the natural next festival year if we continue the regular pattern. We were glad to be able to hold ‘Rewind’, a hybrid event at Aberystwyth this year, but it cannot substitute for the full festival.
With Aberystwyth Arts Centre’s backlog of exhibitions due to Covid cancellations too, we foresee that postponing the festival will allow us more gallery space for ceramics exhibitions alongside the demonstrations and firings.
We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back in 2023. Thank you for your continuing support.
