Lowri Davies is a young ceramic artist whose Welsh heritage is a major source of inspiration. Her work knowingly references typical china displays, household accumulations of souvenirs and bric-abrac, and her tableware is decorated with a combination of hand screen-printed and digitally printed decals, further finished with gold and silver lustres, using illustrations of birds, ‘traditional’ landscapes, flora and fauna. Her bone china technique has been influenced by a placement at Wedgwood Design Studio.
