Virginia Scotchie is a ceramic sculptor who is inspired by everyday objects: a cup, a bowl, a funnel, her children’s toys. Both playful and thoughtful, her hand-built ceramic artworks ‘blur the lines between vessel and sculpture.’ During her demonstration she will create wheel thrown forms from 4-6 pounds of clay. These forms will be assembled and arranged to create abstracted sculptural objects with references to nature and man-made objects.
